Casablanca

Believed by many to be the most romantic movie of all time. I'm not sure I disagree. The chemistry between Humphrey Bogart as Rick and Ingrid Bergman as Ilsa is electric. Which is impressive seeing as how they hardly knew each other, even after working together. Apparently they didn't socialize. But on screen they make an impressive coupling.

The movie is set in unoccupied Africa during the early days of World War II and focuses on Rick, an American expatriate who owns a bar, the moment Ilsa, his former lover, comes back into his life. ("Of all the gin joints, in all the towns, in all the world, she walks into mine.") It's a very romantic, passionate, and moving film, and it is perfect for date night.
